TONIGHT – Saturday, July 27 – at 7 p.m. you can enjoy the classic ‘King Lear’ as Shakespeare in the Park invades Burien’s Dottie Harper Park!

This production is presented by Burien Arts, Burien Parks and performed by GreenStage.

“Aged KING LEAR is ready to give up the throne and divvy up the kingdom among his three daughters. But Lear’s idea to hold a flattery-fest to determine which of the offspring gets the biggest and best chunk of land goes horribly awry. In addition to the scheming heiresses there are others at court intent on power-grabbing and double-crossing. Mix in bit of insanity, and you’ve got trouble. Find out who picks up the pieces in Shakespeare’s tragic tale of palace intrigue.”

Directed by GreenStage Artistic Director Erin Day, and starring Vince Brady (Claudius from 2008’s Hamlet) as Lear.
