Car hits pole, causing power outage for over 4,900 Monday

Seattle City Light is reporting that a power outage is affecting 4.922 customers Monday, July 29.

The cause noted on the utility’s website is a car hitting a pole in the Tukwila area.

The outage started at 11 a.m. and City Light is projecting a 3 p.m. restoration.

    Well, they worked awfully fast! My power went out at 11 and came back on at 12:30, instead of the 3pm they estimated! Thanks City Light!

    Power went out at 11am and is still out at 3:4pm. Hope it is back soon!

    Like Mohawk, our power was back on in under an hour. Good job city light. I drove by the accident site and there’s a brand new pole in place.
