‘Poets with a Purpose’ holding Back to School Poetry Slam & Open Mic Friday
‘Poets with a Purpose’ will be holding a Back to School Poetry Slam and Open Mic this Friday night, Sept. 13 at the Burien Community Center, and they’re looking for participants.

We will be having our Back to School Poetry Slam and Open-Mic!!
It is Completely free with a suggested 1$ Donation. So bring your parents or any adults you know! This is our chances to prove to our community, schools, and the older generations that WE as YOUTH can make a difference.
We are having a featured performer(s) and Cash prizes for the winner of our poetry slam! Also we will have organizations there to promote and support the youth! Its gonna be a beautiful experience for not only the performers but everyone who shows up.

We will be having the talented Ela Barton, Maya Hersh, Casey Tonnely, Jesse Welch, and Rose McAleese as our featured performers!!!

BUT LOOK AT THE DATE IT IS FRIDAY THE 13th, FACE YOUR FEARS!!!
If you would like to perform just comment on this event wall with your name and which you wold like to sign up for: open mic, or slam!
We will only have 10 spots for online open mic sign up and everyone else will have to show up a tad early to sign up on the night of the event.

Only 8 spots to sign up online and no more than 3 will be taken at the door.
By signing up for the poetry slam you recognize that all work will be original. Also, you need 3 poems ready.
