Blood Drive being held at Southwest Suburban Sewer District Monday

The Southwest Suburban Sewer District will be holding a Blood Drive in their parking lot from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 16, and donors are needed.

“Will you spare 45 minutes to an hour of your time to save three lives?” reads an announcement.

Here are the details:

WHAT: Blood Drive

WHEN: Monday, Sept. 16, 11:00 am to 1:30 pm

WHERE: Southwest Suburban Sewer District, 431 Ambaum Blvd. SW, Burien (Bus in parking lot).

    I gave many gallons of blood over many years until the blood bank said I did not have enough iron in my blood. Took iron pills, ate lots of spinach…returned and they said I still did not have enough iron to meet their standards. I guess I would try again but not until I am told they have lowered their iron standards.
