Tuesday, Oct. 8 will be a busy day for local candidates – in addition to our own B-Town Blog Candidate Forum, which will start at 7:30 p.m. – the Southwest King County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a ‘Burien Speed Candidating Forum’ from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at *El Dorado West Retirement Community, located at 1010 SW 134th Street in Burien.

The purpose of the chamber’s forum is to “give local candidates an opportunity to address a wide range of issues that affect the businesses and citizenry of Burien.”

All candidates for Burien City Council, King County Executive and Highline School Board of Directors have been invited to attend along with local media outlets.

The format is somewhat like Speed Dating – candidates will be given 7-10 minutes per table and then they will move on to the next one.

This event is free and open to the public, and food and beverages will be provided.

This event is generously sponsored by Cox Financial, Mendoza Law Center, and Printcom, Inc.

Please RSVP to the Chamber by Oct. 1 at (206) 575-1633 or email [email protected].

Web Registration Link:

*Please do not park at El Dorado West. El Dorado West will provide a shuttle from the parking lot of St. Bernadette Parish, 1028 SW 128th St in Seattle (just a few blocks from El Dorado West).
