Longtime BTB Advertiser Highline Athletic Club recently changed its name to ‘Highline Club‘ but they want to reiterate that they’re no less athletic than before.

The Highline Club is located at 125 South 156th in Burien; (206) 246-9000.

Here’s more from Kelly Turner of Membership Services:

Lack of motivation is exercise’s biggest enemy, and if you find yourself starting to dread the same, stale workout, you’ve hit a slump.

This is dangerous territory. Slumps lead to missed workouts, lack of results and guilt. The quickest way to break a slump and start looking forward to your workouts again is to try something new.

Group fitness is the perfect solution. Designed to accommodate all fitness levels, group fitness classes not only shake up your typical cardio/strength training routine but they are done in a fun, supportive group atmosphere that will actually leave you looking forward to your next workout.

When there is someone else holding you accountable, you are less likely to flake and the bigger the group, the more support you have to push you when you feel like stopping. Plus, with group fitness, you are guaranteed a well designed, intense workout. All you have to do is show up and move.

At Highline Club, we have over 50 weekly group fitness classes all included in your membership. There’s a class for everyone, and here are just a few Highline Club has to offer:

Group Power
This 60 minute barbell program strengthens all your major muscles in an inspiring, motivating group environment with fantastic music and awesome instructors. With simple athletic movements such as squats, lunges, presses and curls, Group Power is for all ages and fitness levels.

Group Centergy
Grow longer and stronger as you explore this 60 minute journey of yoga and Pilates movements. Positive, uplifting music, group dynamics and supportive instructors will enable you to center your energy, reduce stress and even smile.

Zumbe fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a one of a kind fitness program that will blow you away. The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat.

Paleo Experience Bootcamp (www.facebook.com/paleoexperiencebootcamp)
Paleo Experience Bootcamp focuses on living the entire Paleo lifestyle, as outlined in The Paleo Solution by Robb Wolf, which, simply put, is eating foods that humans were designed to eat. In one hour, you’ll not only get a metabolic style workout focusing on fat-burning, muscle sculpting, strength and cardio, but you’ll have the opportunity to talk with your instructors, ask questions and have open discussions on how to move you closer to your goals. This bootcamp is in addition to your membership dues, but members receive a discounted rate.

Anything new can be intimidating at first, but get out of your comfort zone. You just might enjoy yourself.

In good health,
Kelly Turner
