Here’s more from information we received Thursday morning:
The October B-Town Beat will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with venues located between 4th Ave SW and 10th Ave SW along SW 152nd & 153rd Streets. Each venue hosts some form of art or performance, including visual art, dance and music and there are always several interactive art pieces, which the kids love. Some of the highlights this month include photography by Mo Simon at Collins Chiropractic, Bluegrass band Soos Creek Revival at Maven Mercantile, paintings by Debbi Bianchi at Skin Perfect and a glassworking demonstration by Kathy Johnson at Glass Expressions, you can even watch a tap dance class at New City Dance Studio from 6:30 to 7:30!
The weather service is expecting clear skies on Thursday, so grab your coat, you dog, your kids and some friends and come enjoy The Beat! We always encourage folks to have dinner or a beverage at one of our participating bars or eateries along the way, and there are quite a few this month, you might consider having a small snack at several of them, a Moveable Beat Feast!.
