Sadly, this is not a recent bit of vandalism. It has been broken and laying there for well over a month. I have called the city and it seems that my calls have fallen on deaf ears as nobody has bothered to fix it.

Thanks Mr. Birklid for bringing attention to this. Frankly, I’m embarrassed and will make be making inquiries into how we can prevent an oversight like this from happening in the future. I just e-mailed the CM and Public Works director inquire about this.

Shere’e, and everyone else for that matter, in the future if you feel you have a problem getting a response from staff on an issue then contact your council. We were elected to act as the peoples representatives and intercede on the residents behalf. The public e-mail address for the council is [email protected] I’m listed in the phone book if you or anyone else wants to contact me personally.

Parks staff has been obtaining quotes and should be ready with a contractor to do the work next week.
