Four adventurous men risked life and limb on a very windy Monday afternoon (Oct. 28) when they did Stand Up Paddleboarding from Alki Beach in West Seattle to Burien’s Three Tree Point neighborhood.

The four – Matt Parker, Renick Woods, Blake Hanely and Art Aquino – first left a car parked at Three Tree Point, then drove to Alki Beach, where they launched – while standing up and paddling – into the windy, whitecap-filled Puget Sound.

Surfing with gusts of up to 26MPH, the four arrived safely after about an hour of paddling in swells that looked about 6-10 (or so) feet high.
