WEATHER: Follow Saturday’s major windstorm via resident’s live stream

As he did back on Sept. 29, Burien photographer and weather enthusiast Chris Scragg is live-streaming today’s major windstorm, which you can watch below:

Chris lives on SW 171st in the Three Tree Point neighborhood, and will be using weather models from the University of Washington, satellite and radar from NOAA, and warnings from the National Weather Service in Seattle.

He is also using a Davis Vantage Pro 2 weather station and a laptop webcam.

Winds should die down later tonight; here’s the 7-day forecast:

  • This Afternoon: Showers. High near 52. Windy, with a west southwest wind 29 to 31 mph, with gusts as high as 44 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
  • Tonight: Showers likely, mainly before 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 44. Windy, with a west southwest wind 26 to 31 mph decreasing to 14 to 19 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 44 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
  • Sunday: A 40 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 51. West southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable in the afternoon.
