End ‘Black Friday’ by rocking out with The Approximations at Mick Kelly’s

The Approximations, a local rock band, will be celebrating their 10th anniversary with a special gig this Friday night, Nov. 29, at Mick Kelly’s in Burien.

“We are excited to mark our first decade as a band,” said Dan Satterberg, bass player and King County Prosecuting Attorney. “Ten years, in band years, is like 100 years,” he added,”but fortunately we are all great friends who love music and playing together.”

The Approximations recently played gigs at Zombiefest and the Cove, where they sponsored an event that raised more than $3,000 for the Highline Schools Foundation for Excellence.

“We have a killer set list of classic rock that is the sure antidote to excessive shopping, turkey and college football,” Satterberg promised.

Music starts at 9 p.m. and goes to 1 a.m.
