A cat was rescued after spending three very cold days and nights on the roof of the Veranda Green Apartments in Burien (11301 26th Avenue S.; map below), according to BTB Reader Amy Loken.

“We went out and with the help of the maintenance worker onsite, put up a 50-foot ladder and netted the cat in less than 2 minutes,” she said.

Amy adds that he’s a neutered young male adult (the vet thought he was about 2), short hair gray tabby on white (has white paws and bib) with his left ear tipped. He is full-grown, maybe about 14 pounds.

“We took him to the vet and he is healthy, but he is not micro-chipped,” she added. “He is super friendly. Currently he is at one of our volunteers homes being taken care of until we can find his owners.”
