Help fight hunger with great food and beautiful art at ‘Empty Bowls’ Jan. 31
Help fight hunger in our community AND enjoy some great food at the 2014 ‘Empty Bowls’ fundraiser on Friday, Jan. 31 at the Burien Community Center.
Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and Dinner from 4 – 8 p.m.
Cost is a $15 donation for Adults and $10 for Children.
“Empty Bowls events can be found around the country raising money to combat hunger in our communities,” reads an announcement. “Moshier Art Center Potters have donated bowls to be filled with soup at this fun event…all are invited!”
Your donation will get you the opportunity to pick out a beautiful handmade bowl, as well as a simple but wonderful meal of soup, bread, dessert and drink; all donated by local businesses.
WHEN: Friday, Jan. 31, 2014:
- Lunch: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Dinner: 4 – 8 p.m.
WHERE: Burien Community Center, 14700 6th Ave SW
COST: $15 minimum donation, $10 for children
Proceeds go to both the Highline and White Center Food Banks.
