UPDATE 1/13/14 9:45 p.m.: ‘Otto’ has been found!

“A nice lady picked him up at the Ambaum Medical Building and brought him to the 5 Corners Vet Hospital where they scanned his microchip and then contacted us,” said Eric Mathison. “Thanks to you and, also Jim Branson whose tracking retriever tracked Otto for four miles in the dark. Jim has a great service for those of us who have lost a pet.”

PREVIOUSLY: Former Highline Times Editor Eric Mathison wants our Readers to be on the lookout for his missing male Poodle mix ‘Otto,’ last seen outside Wag the Dog near Ambaum Blvd. SW and SW 152nd Monday morning (Jan. 13) around 10 a.m. (click image to see larger version):

Eric says that Otto slipped out of his collar when they were outside Wag the Dog.

“He was last seen running east on the south side of SW 152nd next to Key Bank,” Eric said. “I ran over there but the dog had disappeared.”

Otto is a poodle mix with floppy ears. Medium size. Might be part Cocker Spaniel. Very curly cream or beige fur with some tan color.
Skittish but loves treats.

If you see him, please call us at 206-832-8992, 206-200-5898 or 253-350-5600 right way. Please also spread the word. We have notified Burien CARES, 909 SW 151st, 206-81-CARES.

This is a great example of why it’s such a good idea to microchip your pets! Even if a collar/tags is missing, the chip is implanted and always accessible. Just remember to keep your contact information up to date!
