REMINDER: The City of Burien will be hosting a Blood Drive at City Hall this Thursday, Jan. 23, and humans with blood are needed! The Puget Sound Blood Center is still trying to recoup from holiday blood collection losses – 7 out of 8 blood types are below levels needed to maintain an adequate blood supply for local patients (please see updated chart below). On Sunday, a 48-year old male received blood from Puget Sound Blood Center donors at Virginia Mason, due to a gastro-intestinal bleed.  It took 32 donors just to support this one patient. Please consider attending the drive below and help restore supplies to ensure a plentiful amount of blood for our community for whoever may need it next. Every 2 minutes someone in Western Washington needs a blood transfusion.  Thank you.
