Wilcox, a history and business management graduate of WSU, has many years of grocery experience, including an eight-year stint as Store Director of the Totem Lake Larry’s Market. “Our goal is to provide the community of Normandy Park and surrounding areas with a market that offers traditional elements of grocery shopping, additional efforts on new dynamic product selection, strong relationships with local fresh and organic suppliers and, most importantly, maintaining an affordable pricing structure to meet the needs of of our everyday shopper,” he said.

  1. I was pretty bummed with my experience here. It could of been the fact that I hyped myself up thinking that I will no longer need to drive all the way to PCC for organic produce/groceries. Their organic sections are minimal to say the least. In fact I believe Fred Meyers has a bigger selection. If they’re smart they’ll change and acknowledge the community demand for more organic!

    1. It’s not PCC. More like a smaller version of Metropolitan Market. It’s nicer than QFC, which sort of degraded after being bought out by Kroger. The Grainery still has the best bulk food section in Burien.

    2. The owner is very nice and accomadating. I’m sure he would be willing to order whatever you need and bring in products that you like. It is only day 3.

  2. Two visits and two great experiences. Management seems very interested in local feedback and products suggestions. Keep in mind this is a soft opening as they work out the kinks. Personally, I would like to see a more higher quality deli and prepared foods area, as well as more locally produced specialty items, like Sugars Gelato, which was quite tasty. Go check it out!
