The City of Burien is seeking nominees for its annual “Citizen of the Year” awards program, with the deadline set for Feb. 14. “The City annually recognizes individuals and/or agencies that have made a significant contribution to improving the quality of life in Burien,” reads an announcement. To nominate someone, you’re asked to “describe what this person or organization has done, when the contribution was made, who benefited, how the contribution was accomplished and where the impact was made.” Be aware though that the city asks for the nominee’s address and phone number as well.
