Early Tuesday (Jan. 28), there was a theft from a US Postal service truck in the 19200 block of Normandy Park Drive SW, according to Normandy Park Police Chief Chris Gaddis.

“The suspect in this case broke the window out of a postal vehicle and stole a box of mail,” Gaddis said. “There will be several victims who will need to file case reports.”

Victims are asked to please reference NPPD Case #14-0203.

Gaddis added:

The suspect vehicle is a 2010’s gold Chrysler/Lincoln sedan. It is possibly similar to the Chrysler 300. The vehicle was last seen heading east on Normandy Park Dr SW. There is no suspect description.

I would say it would be best to call the Post Office in Burien (206-248-8647) to determine if you are a victim. It should be limited to the area of the 19200 blk of Normandy Park Dr SW.

Someone is breaking into mailboxes in Burien too. I went to check my mail yesterday (1/30) and someone had broken into every mailbox in the post office security box on SW 130th st near 8th Ave SW.
I’m just glad that I have anything important sent to my work address.

That address has been hit several times over the last several weeks! What gives? It’s almost as if it’s a specific target.
