Sunday house fire displaces several cats in Gregory Heights neighborhood

BTB Reader Marilyn wants everyone to know that on Sunday (Feb. 9), there was a house fire at 160th SW and SW 8th in Burien’s Gregory Heights neighborhood, displacing several cats.

“I am requesting for the owner a shout out to her neighbors,” Marilyn said. “She bred ragdoll cats. One escaped when the first responders got there. She lost several, but there are 3 others that haven’t been found. So there is at least one and maybe 4 cats that were indoor only and now out in the world scared. She does not have any pictures of them, but the breed is long haired and she had lynx and seal point ones.”

Marilyn adds that “the owner is devastated and it would mean so much if she could at least get the one back that we know escaped.”

If you’ve seen any of these cats, please call Normandy Animal Hospital (her vet) – Dr. Serratore’s number is 206-248-3345.

I live VERY close to and share an alley way with this neighbor and believe at least one of her cats has come up onto our deck on several occasions (before the fire). I’ve contacted Normandy Animal Hospital for her to get in touch with me. We have cats of our own, so we will be on close watch!
