MISSING: Ragdoll Cat, last seen at Gregory Heights home that burned
A ‘Ragdoll’ cat is missing from a house that burned in Gregory Heights on Sunday, Feb. 9:
The house is located at SW 160th and 8th SW, and ‘Shere Khan’ is the name of the cat.
The owner is offering a $250 reward for the recovery of this cat. There may be three others also. Normandy Animal Hospital is holding the reward and knows the cats.
Yes this is the one that escaped past the first responders, so we know it survived. Three others were not found inside with the bodies that were found. So this one is known to be out there, lost.
During business hours please contact Normandy Animal Hospital 17654 1st Ave South; (206) 248-3345. After hours, please call Marillyn 206-248-1837 if cat found.
As we previously reported:
“It was initially dispatched as a smoke investigation, but was quickly upgraded to a residential fire as more 911 calls came in and the fire started coming out a kitchen window,” Burien/Normandy Park Fire Chief Mike Marrs told The B-Town Blog. “Also, initial reports from neighbors indicated there was likely a woman inside. The first arriving crew went directly into rescue mode. No occupant was found and the fire was extinguished after a long difficult struggle. No civilians were injured and no fire fighters were injured also. The fire remains under investigation until after the fire investigator can interview the home owner.”
