The new Baseball Field at Kennedy Catholic High School will be dedicated to longtime coach Mr. Joe Faccone (pictured above) on Friday, March 28 at 3:30 p.m., and the public is invited to attend.

“Please join us for a very special opportunity to honor our friend and coach, Mr. Joe Faccone,” reads an announcement. “In recognition of decades of service to the baseball program and to Kennedy Catholic, a special dedication to Joe will take place during the varsity baseball game.”

A reception will follow the game in the Kennedy Catholic Dillman Center at approximately 5 p.m.

No charge to attend, but reservations are required – simply send an email to halla@kennedyhs.org or call 206.226.5679.

In the event of rain or a cancelled game, please come directly to the Dillman Center for the dedication and event.

    This is awesome news!

    Now if we could only get Kennedy HS to construct their own private tennis courts, instead of hogging all the tax payer paid for public courts in the area for their practices and matches, we would be set.

    Let’s see, Kennedy is part of a public school sports league so it’s not like they’re the only kids using those courts.

    Parents of Kennedy students pay property taxes that fund tennis courts, etc.

    Parents of Kennedy students pay property taxes and other levies that fund public schools but then send their children to Kennedy improving the student-to-teacher ratio at the public schools they help fund.

    Yeah, makes total sense to complain about Kennedy using tax-payer funded public ammenities.

    Next you’ll complain that the Kennedy school buses are using public roads.
