Spring 2014 registration for the Highline Soccer Club is now open.

“We’d like to welcome and encourage all of you to participate in our spring soccer program, now in its second year,” reads an announcement. “Highline Soccer Club provides a community based soccer program for kids in Burien, Des Moines, Normandy Park, SeaTac and the surrounding community.”

Here’s more:

Our spring program will be open to players ages 5-13 years old (U7 through U13) and will cost $75 per player. Scholarships and fee reductions are available by completing the form referenced on our Scholarship Guidelines page. We’re asking all players to register in the age group they would play in fall 2014. An age chart is available at the bottom of our home page, www.highlinesoccerclub.com, for reference. The registration system will require you to register on age based on birth date. If a child wishes to “play up”, please notify us at [email protected] and we’ll make the adjustment after registering, if appropriate.

The 6-game season will begin on Sunday, April 27 and conclude on Sunday, June 1. All Games will be played on Sunday afternoons (noon – 6pm). For spring, all age groups will play games in a 5v5 format with suggested team sizes of seven or eight players. Registration also includes a Highline Soccer Club training jersey for each player.

A key aspect of our spring soccer program is that we include technical training once a week during the season from Coerver and Highline Premier FC. Training sessions begin the week before games.

We also need volunteer coaches to register for each team. They will be responsible for game day coaching. Registration for both players and coaches are now both open through April 6th.

If you have further questions or suggestions concerning any aspect of our soccer programs or wish to volunteer within our club, please visit our website, www.highlinesoccerclub.com, or email our team at [email protected]*.

* During registration and at the beginning of both our spring and fall seasons, we experience a high volume of e-mail inquiries. Our volunteer board will attempt to respond to your inquiry within 72 hrs.
