Gluten-free CrossFit star Matt Parker shows stuff during ‘Friday Night Lights’

As family and friends gathered in the Box for “Friday Night Lights” the energy was bursting with excitement. There were two things on Clay Procter’s mind, one was filling in and spinning the mic for Matt and the second was soaking in the magic of the night, CrossFit Style!

The scene was hype, athletes stretching, building weights and chalking up. Friends, families and onlookers passing by, it was an amazing draw that you would have to see to believe. Pure magic!

The face that lit up the night was our very own, Matt Parker. A one of kind athlete both on the water and in the gym, he pulls out wins and motivates other athletes to do the same. His smile is contagious and lights up any room.

At this event, all athletes’ names were called out and they ran through a tunnel of dowels. When Matt’s name was announced, no one was prepared for the flipping roof to lift off, as he was definitely a crowd favorite!

As he ripped off his shirt, pulled up his Chicago Bulls socks, he told his judge Coach Jordan, “Lets do this!” With an astonishing 11:21 minute finish and the first to be done, with true class he got up, took a drink of water, wiped off his sweat and went to cheer on his fellow competitors until the last one finished. High fives all around!

This was the fourth night out of five that our very own B-Town, gluten-free, real estate agent earned a first place finish in the workouts.
