The City of Burien and the Southwest King County Chamber of Commerce are proud to present the 93rd Annual Burien Independence Day Parade on Friday, July 4, 2014. And they’re inviting all local Burien businesses to consider sponsoring this community event. Sponsorships are $500 and include business name on parade banner, SWKC Chamber website, SWKC Chamber newsletter and all communications and publications concerning the parade. Presenting sponsorships are also available through the Chamber office. The Burien Independence Day Parade has become a longstanding tradition in the community and is an enjoyable parade to watch. The parade route is filled with marching bands, dance teams, vintage autos, floats and more. The parade takes place in Downtown Burien which offers a diverse mix of business, retail and restaurants, along with the central landmarks of Burien Town Square and City Hall. Everyone is invited to come and be a part of this annual Burien tradition. Partners for this parade are the City of Burien and the Southwest King County Chamber. The parade begins at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 4, 2014, at Ambaum Boulevard SW and SW 149th Street. The route will head South on Ambaum, East on SW 153rd, North on 2nd Avenue SW, then West on SW 152nd.
