B-TOWN BIZ: ‘Howard & Marge’ closing after 6 years in Olde Burien
The ‘Howard & Marge’ boutique clothing store, located at 901 SW 152nd Street, will close May 31 after six years in Olde Burien.
Owner Robin Dunkle, who’s been in the fashion industry for 25 years, says she’s ready for a shift in her career.
“I have made such great friends and met so many awesome people over the years but have made a decision to make a change,” Robin said on a Facebook post. “We are beginning our liquidation sale by offering everything in the entire store at 30% off! So be quick about it because stuff is going fast.”
The liquidation sale will begin Thursday, May 8, when everything on the store will be priced at 50% off.
“Thank you B-Town for 6-great years of fabulous fashion fun with Howard & Marge!!!! I have enjoyed being part of our community and making such great friends. I have had a great run, and now I’m ready for a shift in my career. I have been in the fashion industry for 25 years, and am excited for my next venture in fashion.
We have had some outrageously fun times at Howard & Marge with our annual “Wig” parties, seasonal parties, block party fashion shows, Tin Theater fashion shows, fundraising events, and “Mimosa Saturdays”!!!! I will truly miss those times. Howard & Marge, my grandparents who inspired me to honor them with the store, are on a “hot date” in heaven, and are with me every day. I know they are proud of what I have accomplished here in our community.
We’ve begun our liquidation, and things are going fast, with our last day being May 31st. Beginning Thursday May 8th everything in the store will be 50%, so come on in before everything is gone! It is important for our community to shop small, so please keep it up Burien. I appreciate all of you very much.”
