Highline Public Schools is asking all parents and families to participate in an online Parent Climate Survey that is now live here: http://www.highlineschools.org/yourvoice

The district says it is seeking feedback to improve services at schools as well as communication between families and schools.

The survey asks about important topics including academic preparation, safety and behavior, and school leadership, among others. Results will allow Highline to understand parent and family views of schools, programs, and services, in order to make improvements where necessary.

“We know it is critical for us to partner with families if we are going to meet our goals for students,” said Superintendent Susan Enfield. “Hearing from our families in one way to learn how well we are meeting our students’ needs.”

The online survey is easy to access and is a convenient way to share input and ideas. Parents and families who have provided the district with their email addresses will receive email invitations to participate. The survey will also be accessible to all parents and families via the YourVoice section of Highline’s website.

The survey is confidential and secure. Survey results will not be tied to individual participants. Once the survey has closed on May 28, Highline will share results with the community, along with an explanation of how Highline will use the data to continue making important school-level improvements.

“We are committed to creating strong partnerships with families and community members,” Enfield added. “Together, we will enable every student to graduate prepared for college, career, and citizenship.”

Parents and families may access the survey via the YourVoice section of Highline’s website at www.highlineschools.org/yourvoice.
