You are invited to the Burien Wild Strawberry Festival – coming up this Saturday & Sunday, June 14-15 in downtown Burien and Town Square Park!

There will be fabulous music on the Town Square Stage – Highline Community Symphonic Band will again be hosting Bandapalooza! Check out community bands from all over King County. And bring the kids to rock with the Not-Its Saturday from 11-Noon, hosted by the KCLS:

There will also be Taiko drumming, Brazilian music, and more throughout the weekend.

The Festival kicks off with the annual Kiwanis Club’s Pancake Breakfast at the Burien Fire Station Saturday morning at 8 a.m.

Discover Burien will again host the Carnival from Thursday-Sunday, as well as the ever popular Father’s Day Car Show & Chili Cook-Off on Sunday along SW 152nd street.

Marvelous music, strolling performers, dancers, spoken word and community performers will enliven the event, along with delicious food booths, great shopping, fun kid’s activities and the Festival’s signature strawberry shortcake!

And…The B-Town Blog crew will be there as well, blogging live and selling t-shirts to local UFO conspiracy film “The Maury Island Incident“!

Town Square Park is located at the intersection of SW 152nd Street and 5th Place SW. Organizers encourage you to walk, bike and bus to the festival. The festival is produced by the City of Burien and supported by Discover Burien, King County Library System, Burien Press, 4Culture, The Highline Times, The B-Town Blog and Worldmark.
