Grab your clubs for a great day on the links at Highline Medical Center Foundation’s 31st Annual Golf Classic on Thursday, July 24 at The Golf Club at Newcastle. “There are plenty of opportunities to show off your skills and for some friendly competition during the mega-putt, longest drive, closest to the pin, beat the pro and hole-in-one contests,” reads an announcement. “The golf tournament is one of our major fundraising events,” said Susan Bean, Highline Medical Center Foundation executive director. “All of us at Highline are grateful for such a strong show of support from the community, sponsors and players, as well as the hospital staff and volunteers.” This year’s Masters of Health tournament will help support programs and services that improve the health of our community. Additionally, the foundation will honor pulmonologist Fredric Jackson, M.D., who received the American Thoracic Society’s 2014 Outstanding Clinician of the Year Award. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m., with the mega putt competition and box lunch at 11:30 a.m., and the shotgun start at noon. The tournament is followed by an awards dinner and raffle at 5 p.m. For individual and corporate sponsorship opportunities, and for ticket and event information, please visit www.supporthighline.org or contact Julie Colgan at (206) 901-8508 or [email protected].]]>
