The Annual Wild Strawberry Festival – along with the Carnival – has opened up in downtown Burien for the weekend, and the skies have been looking kind of gloomy.

Here’s what’s going on with the weather this weekend:

Parts of the outdoor festival may be spoiled by the rain this weekend; however there will be periods where showers will steer clear of the festivities.

The best times to visit will be Friday afternoon and evening when the showers and clouds will be mostly confined to the Cascades. Saturday will also be a decent day to visit, however there is a chance of some showers in the early afternoon. Unfortunately, Sunday may be a wash out as it looks like showers will begin in the morning and persist throughout the afternoon.

Have fun this weekend, and keep an eye on the sky!
