REMINDER: Burien Arts Association will be presenting a FREE open-air Shakespeare in the Park production of GreenStage’s “Othello” this Saturday, July 26, at Dottie Harper Park, 421 S. 146th St., 6:30-9 p.m.

The play is produced by Greenstage, Seattle’s longest-running Shakespeare company.

Teresa Thuman directs.

In this Shakespeare classic, the great military hero Othello has landed a plum assignment and has a new bride, but gets tangled in a web of doubt and betrayal weaved by his slighted and scheming underling Iago.

Jealousy, intrigue, and revenge are central themes of one of Shakespeare’s greatest tragedies.

A week later, on Saturday, Aug. 2, Burien Arts Association will present Shakespeare’s “Love’s Labour Lost.” The free production is also at Dottie Harper Park from 6:30-9 p.m.

Dottie Harper Park is located at the intersection of SW 146th and 4th Ave SW.

My wife and I looking forward to this – never been to this event, so we’re not sure what, if anything, we should or can bring (such as chairs, picnic dinner, wine, etc). Any help from more experienced folks?
