The City of Burien announced that it will be conducting significant street work along SW 152nd Street between 10th Avenue SW and Maplewild Ave SW, and elsewhere in Burien starting in mid-August and continuing through October.

“A contractor will apply an overlay on several streets citywide and upgrade storm drain facilities along SW 152nd Street,” the announcement said. “Residences and businesses to be directly affected by the work have been contacted by the City.”

The overlay process removes and replaces the top two inches of asphalt to maintain pavement life.

Burien has more potholes than potheads…well maybe…1st ave 138th to 128 is a piece of CRAP for a main road in Burien.

Why wasn’t this started mid June right after school ended? A lot of school buses use 152nd and Maplewild. How will they be affected?

will they ever be able to totally fix the yearly sink hole at 18th & 152nd?
