oktoberfest 2014 logo with wording On Saturday, Oct. 18, the Highline Schools Foundation will present its annual Oktoberfest Dinner, Dance and Auction at Normandy Park Cove. “We aim to make this event affordable, casual, and all about the fun!” reads an announcement. “We create a German Beer Hall style party with great refreshments from Georgetown Brewing and food from The Tin Room/Dan the Sausageman. There’s an affordable silent auction and a fun LIVE auction emceed by KJR’s Dick Fain, former HPS student and future HPS parent!” This year, they will host a unique Instagram-based photo service called InstaBar at Oktoberfest – they’ll print out the photos you post on Instagram with a special hashtag on event night! “We’re also selling Oktoberfest beer mugs, we’re raffling off two tickets anywhere Alaska Airlines flies, unrestricted, and we’re auctioning off some pretty great LIVE items like vacation stays in Seabrook, WA, Crystal Mountain ski weekends, and a beautiful diamond pendant! We want you there! Please join us, wear your jeans (or Lederhosen!) and bring your friends!” The cost is $45 per person, or $400 for a table of 10:
