BTB Reader Elston Hill took these great pics of a Redtail Hawk in Burien on Sunday, Nov. 16; here’s what he said about it:

“The predator birds love windy days. This hawk visited the bluff above Three Tree Point twice today. The first time the crows chased him away. But he returned a second time and just hung in place like a kite for more than five minutes some 500 feet above the water hardly moving his wings.”

  1. Heh-heh, During the summer we put our birds outside in the day when its nice out and every so often a hawk would come down, sit on their cage and just bend his head looking in and I`m sure wondering how he could get to them.
