You wouldn’t be blamed for taking this time of the year to escape the Northwest and visit some other warmer..or drier place. If you enjoy this wet or stormy weather however, then you’ll be excited about next week!

With how many times the power grid in Burien has failed in the couple months, I wouldn’t be surprised if a few extra raindrops caused yet another power outage. Regardless, here’s your forecast.

Sunday will be the last mostly dry and clear day to savor, before plunging into the dark and stormy week that awaits us. Sunday will be a great day to get a head start on your outdoor holiday errands, or simply enjoy the sun.

Spotty showers will linger around Monday morning and build up to the dousing of rain expected Monday night. With barely any break period, heavy rain showers will resume Tuesday morning and last through the day. As if this isn’t enough for us, another heavy front smashes into the region midday Wednesday! Bursts of gusty winds will accompany these storm systems as well. Talk about a nasty week!

Things appear to begin clearing up later in the week, but not without a chance of afternoon showers with a couple of thunder rumbles within them on Thursday and Friday.
