What the proposed arena site would look like.

What the proposed arena site would look like.

ESPN is reporting this week that a company called RLB Holdings Sports and Entertainment filed a zoning code request with the city of Tukwila, stating its intention to build a multipurpose arena.

On May 1, the group will apparently file a SEPA application, according to the report.

The proposed site is immediately off Exit 1 of I-405, east of the West Valley Highway near the Sounder station, the report says.

Can you imagine being able to drive to see professional hockey or basketball just about as close as going to Southcenter?

As if traffic off the 405 right there wasn’t bad enough. No thanks.

Why aren’t our economic development people in Burien on this one????

Didn’t the NBA already say no to expanding when the hedge fund guy try to steal a team from Sacramento ( The clippers) instead of building a team.

I don’t really see any good in a NBA team in the area they tend to lead to gangs using there jersey as gang colors. That and the fact that so many tend portray a thug life style and buy big useless houses and over price cars. Among the ones with criminal records. I remember when the Sonics were around and just about every year at lease one if not more got some type of DUI or got arrested for something.
