Advertiser the Tin Room Bar & Theater will be holding its FREE June Wine Tasting this Thursday, June 18, from 5 – 7 p.m.

Featured wines:

Chandon Brut Classic, California
Classic balance typifies this refreshingly soft, yet dry wine. The wine delivers complex apple and pear characteristics accented by citrus spice over notes of almond and caramel in the bouquet. When you taste Brut Classic, look for nutty flavors with hints of brioche that build to a refreshingly dry finish. Brut Classic is blended with ten to twenty percent Reserve wines from prior harvests.

M by Minuty Rose 2013, Cotes De Provence
Grenache: 50% tibouren: 15% Cinsault: 35
A magnificent wine of pleasure: the aromatic harmony of grenache and cinsault offers some notes of peach and candied orange. The mouth is fresh and round.

Jackson Estates, Santa Maria Valley, Chardonnay,2013
The chilly climate allows the grapes to retain natural acidity, while the long growing season results in extraordinarily ripe grapes. Rich and creamy in golden mango, yellow peach and honeysuckle ower avors, with oak barrel aging bringing notes of buttered biscuits and vanilla bean.
Appellation: Santa Maria Valley, Santa Barbara County
Composition: 100% Chardonnay
Barrel Aging: Aged 9 months in 99% French oak (55% new) and 1% American oak

Jackson Estate, Anderson Valley, Pinot Noir 2013
The wine shows its cool-climate origins in bright acidity, accenting the rich avors of blueberries, black cherries, cola and dusty spices. Firm minerality grounds the wine. The tannins are silky, while oak barrel aging brings a smoky, sandalwood note. Beautiful to drink now on release, this Pinot will age well over the next six years.
Appellation: Anderson Valley, Mendocino County
Composition: 100% Pinot Noir
Barrel Aging: Aged 9 months in 71% French oak (40% new) and 29% American oak

This Cabernet shows mountain intensity in its rich blackberry, black currant and cassis avors. It’s bone dry, with thick but rened tannins, and brightened by a ne burst of acidity. Blended with a little Petit Verdot, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec for complexity, it drinks beautifully now, and will age for a decade or longer.
