A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car near SW 128th and Ambaum Blvd. SW on Saturday night (July 18) around 10:30 p.m., according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.   Police say that a Hispanic male in his late 20s was killed after being struck by a vehicle driven by a 59-year old male. The Hispanic male was crossing the street about 100 feet away from an actual crosswalk when he was struck by the southbound car, Detective Jason Houck told The B-Town Blog. Witnesses at the scene said the victim had just left Fiesta Del Mar and showed signs of being drunk/intoxicated. The driver of the vehicle said he did not see the man in the street until it was too late. He tried to stop but hit him, causing him to strike the hood and windshield of the car. The man died at the scene despite first aid efforts by KCSO Deputies/Burien Police, as well as the Burien/Normandy Park Fire Department. “Neither speed nor alcohol was a factor with the driver and he was NOT cited for any traffic violations,” Houck added. The investigation is still ongoing.]]>
