CALL FOR ARTISTS: Burien Arts Gallery seeking submissions for 2016 exhibitions

CALL FOR ARTISTS: The Burien Arts Gallery is now accepting submissions for the 2016 Gallery Exhibition Schedule.

The gallery, centrally located in downtown “Olde” Burien, is calling for artists to apply via www.burienarts.org [1] for consideration to have their work exhibited in the Burien Arts Gallery.

They are interested in contemporary artists working on topical narratives in all genres, but specific to 2016, would like to curate shows focusing on:

The Burien Arts Gallery, opened in October 2013, is the only non-profit fine-arts gallery between West Seattle and Tacoma.

Entry form is easily accessible online and can be submitted immediately electronically:

  1. Minimum of 4 and maximum of 10 samples of work

File types for images – JPEGS only, 300 dpi

  1. Largest dimension to be 1200 – 1800 pixels
  2. Name each JPEG file with the correlating number on the entry form, your name, title, medium, size, year and price (example – 01smith-flowers-oiloncanvas-12hx24w-2014-$950)
  3. Submit artist statement and resume/CV
  4. Work will be insured while exhibited in Burien Arts Gallery.
  5. Artists accepted for shows automatically allow Burien Arts to use images for publicity purposes only.
  6. Work must be ready for wall hanging/mounting.

Artists chosen by the review panel will be curated into the 2016 Exhibition schedule.  Exhibitions will run approximately one month, include a reception and may include a small talk by the artist(s).
