The City of Burien announced Friday (Oct. 2) that its new Film Office will be holding a ‘Storyboard Burien’ Photo Contest. “The Burien Film Office is asking residents and visitors to identify the best potential filming spots in Burien,” reads an announcement. “Why should filmmakers come to Burien and what unexpected film spots might they find?” The city is inviting photographers and filmmakers, both amateur and professional, to submit original photographs capturing the locations that are unique to Burien. The photos must be on publicly accessible land or on land approved for filmmaking access and use by the property owner. Property owners are also encouraged to submit photos of their property. Entering is simple:

  1. Take a photo anywhere in Burien where you can envision a film taking place.
  2. Follow the link below.
  3. Fill out an online form and submit your photo by Nov. 1.
The top three photos will win $250, $100, and $50! Winners will be announced at Burien Arts Vision 20/20 event on Nov. 21. The submissions will be judged by a community panel and the top three winners will receive a cash prize, be included in the 2015 Burien Arts Association Vision 20/20 event, and may be displayed in the City Hall Lobby.
