Advertiser Discover Burien announced that their new “Shop Burien” incentive campaign – which kicks off today (Friday, Oct. 9) – will be active until Nov. 28.

“This project is very simple,” said Andrea Reay, Executive Director of Discover Burien. “Shop in Burien and be entered to win a $250 shopping spree at member businesses in Burien. There are no restrictions or minimum purchase requirements. Just enjoy shopping in Burien, maybe try a new business, collect 6 proofs of purchase and return your ‘Shop Burien’ punch card to the Discover Burien office to be entered to win!”

“Shop Burien” cards can be picked up at the Discover Burien office and visitor center, located at 427 SW 152nd St, or at many of our member businesses. Shoppers simply present the punch cards as they are making a purchase in Burien. The employee initials, stamps or otherwise offers acknowledgment on the punch. Once 6 proofs of purchase are collected shoppers return their cards to the Discover Burien office to be entered to with the prize. The winner of the shopping spree will be announced at the Shop Small Saturday event on November 28th. There is no limit on how many cards or entries shoppers can return. Cards can be returned in person or mailed to the office and visitor center.

“Local independent businesses contribute almost twice as much to our local economy compared to non-local businesses. When you buy it in Burien you are supporting our community.” Andrea Reay added.
