A two-day Shadow Puppetry Workshop for students in grades 5-8 will be held Tuesday, Nov. 3 and Tuesday, Nov. 10 at the Burien Library.

“Some of the first stories people told long ago were with shadows on walls created by the flicker of a fire,” reads an announcement. “We don’t use fire anymore for shadows, but shadow puppetry is still one of the most intriguing and creative ways to tell a story.”

In this workshop, learn how to tell a well known children’s story using shadow puppets you create yourself.

Taught by Master puppeteer Brian Morris, you will get to create characters, voices and produce a final show for others to watch!

Please register with Burien Library or Burien Arts Association at 206-244-7808.

Sponsored by Burien Arts Association, Burien Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services and 4Culture.

Reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities is available; please contact the library prior to the event if you require accommodation.
