On Tuesday (Feb. 16), a giant check in the amount of $18, 205 was presented to the Highline Area and White Center Food Banks at Smarty Pants in Burien: EmptyBowlsCheckSmartyPants The annual fundraiser was held on Jan. 29, and the proceeds will be split evenly between the two non-profits – for a total of $9,125 per food bank – from some 1,125 generous guests this year (see our previous coverage here). Also, the winning chefs at Smarty Pants were awarded the “Best Soup” trophy for their winning ‘Cheesy Chicken Enchilada Soup’: Screen Shot 2016-02-17 at 5.10.31 PM Congrats to all involved!
