If you saw a lot of police activity Friday morning (March 18) in the 150 block of SW 160th Street near Andy’s Handy Mart (map below), the Burien Police Department says they were investigating a ‘suspicious device’ found nearby. Reports are that in addition to Burien P.D., DEA, ATF, and FBI agents were also on the scene, as well as a bomb squad and K-9 unit. One Tweet says that the entire area was taped off, and a possible pipe bomb was found in a car in the car wash:

Another Reader told us that Three Tree Montessori School had been evacuated. As we learn more about this incident, we’ll update this post (refresh page for latest news)… ]]>

  1. I work at the station. Police gave no reason for this. Police had contact with car owner.. Also after the car parked there the driver got out and started talking with undercover officer. Appears to be training? They won’t say anything and shut down businesses
