Weight loss seminars to begin July 6 at Advertiser CHI Franciscan Medical

CHI Franciscan Health is expanding its highly successful surgical weight loss program to residents in Burien, West Seattle and surrounding communities.

David Swedler, DO, a board-certified, fellowship trained general surgeon with specialty training and experience in robotic and laparoscopic surgery joined the team at Franciscan Center for Weight Management and will lead the seminars in Burien.

Seminars for patients interested in surgical weight loss start July 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the conference room at Franciscan Medical Pavilion – Highline. Patients interested in surgical weight loss are encouraged to attend a highly informative seminar with one our physicians to begin the process. Seminars will be held every other Wednesday. Meetings times may vary and registration is required.

The Franciscan Center for Weight Management at St. Francis Hospital is accredited by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP). Weight loss surgeries take place at St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way. The program was founded in 1999 and is now the busiest robotic-assisted bariatric surgery in the country.
