A man fired a gun into a hookah lounge and massage parlor on SW 153rd Street in Burien Monday night, Nov. 7.

Police told The B-Town Blog that they were called to investigate a glass breakage alarm at a closed business in the 140 block of SW 153rd Street, when they observed a disturbance outside of the VIP Hookah Lounge.

Officers soon discovered several bullet holes in the windows of the VIP and adjacent businesses.

Apparently, the disturbance was related to a shooting which had just occurred, and several patrons pointed towards where the gunfire had originated.

Police investigation led them to a nearby business, where they discovered a man had fallen from the roof into an enclosed courtyard. The fire department responded with a ladder so officers could get to the suspect, who was detained.

A gun was found in his front pocket.

Officers then found at least 25 spent casings on the roof of the business where the suspect had fallen from, which matched the caliber of the gun found on the suspect.

The suspect was booked into jail for felony assault.

“There were no injuries, and the officers handled a very dynamic and tense situation very well,” Capt. Bryan Howard said.

As we gather more information, we’ll update this post…
