King County Sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s help locating a vehicle involved in a hit and run that killed a pedestrian in Burien this weekend.

The suspect vehicle is described as a black Honda SUV and will be missing the driver’s side mirror.

The fatal hit & run accident happened in the 12400 block of 1st Ave South around 3:45 a.m. on Saturday (Feb. 4), tragically killing a young man named Conlan Anderson (pictured, right).

A man driving in the area saw the victim lying next to the roadway and called 911. Police and medics arrived but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Debris left at the scene, including the driver’s side mirror, indicates the suspect vehicle is likely a black Honda SUV.

If you have information about this hit and run you are asked to call the King County Sheriff’s Office at 206-296-3311 or you can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 by call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. (Case #C17006054)

Also of note, a GoFundMe page has been set up to help Conlan’s family: https://www.gofundme.com/3cb0vo0

How could you hit someone and just leave them there?

I knew Conlan. He was a good kid. Bright, good head on his shoulders. and eager to help those in need. He had his whole future ahead of him. This is so tragic. It’s a shame that whoever has done this could even drive away with the thought that someone could die. The person who did this will forever be haunted by this cold hearted act.
Also that in these days of traffic cameras and home security cameras it is awkward that the police have no clue as to who did this? Can’t we pull all resources together to get a clue? Where are all our tax money going to?
My prayers sent to his family and loved ones…
