WEATHER: National Weather Service issues Wind Advisory for Friday

The National Weather Service issued a Wind Advisory, in effect from 1 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Friday, March 10.

Wind is predicted to be from the southwest from 20 – 35 mph, with gusts from 40–50 mph.

Batten down those blue tarps B-Town!

…WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 10 AM PST FRIDAY…

* WIND…Southwest 20 to 35 mph with gusts 40 to 50 mph.

* SOME AFFECTED LOCATIONS…Seattle, Bellevue, Everett, Olympia,
Bellingham, Forks and Aberdeen.

* TIMING…Winds will increase quickly this evening peaking in
the 1 am to 10 am time frame.

* IMPACTS…Local power outages and downed tree limbs possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult…especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
