A car crashed into a utility pole near 1st Ave South and S. 124th Street in Burien early Wednesday morning (May 3), knocking power out for over 4,000 customers.

The incident happened around 3:30 a.m., and Seattle City Light restored power a few hours later.

No word yet on the cause of the crash, or if there were any injuries.

[NOTE: It appears that City Light made a typo in their Tweet, as this happened at S. 124th.]

Yes indeed, good work! I wondered why my stove clock was blinking this morning.
I don’t live that close to 1st Ave. S but I was affected.
