If you saw a large group of people walking through Burien on Tuesday morning (May 23), you most likely witnessed about 50 (or so) ‘Seattle Striders’ doing the first of three 10-Mile Walks. Our friends at WABI Burien tell us that Walkers walked through a mix of commercial, residential, and green areas, with highlights including the highest point in Burien, the SeaTac Botanical Garden, as well as historic structures in Tukwila before ending up near the Green River: Of course after all that walking, Walkers ended the event with their “famous Happy Hour”! There are two more 10-mile walks planned for this Wednesday and Thursday – more info here.]]>

  1. Walkers do NOT have to walk all 10 miles. They may walk as much or as little as they are able to.

    1. You don’t have to answer this, but curious how many make it the entire 10 mile hike and how many fall asleep on the bus ride home! 🙂

      1. That smiley emoticon doesn’t look as happy as I thought it would, it was meant to be sunny smiley face…sorry. I’m impressed you all walked that far!
