AARF’s 9th Annual Whine and Cheese Live Auction will be held on Friday, June 23, from 6–10 p.m. at Glen Acres Golf and Country Club:

This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and there are some really great things in the works for this years event! Enjoy a selection of wine, beer, cider and hors d’oeuvres, while bidding on amazing auction items. All proceeds go to support the rescue and aid work that AARF does.

Tickets are $40 in advance, $50 at the door. They can be purchased at www.myaarf.org. Ticket price includes 2 drink tickets, hors d’oeuvres, and a commemorative 9th annual Whine and Cheese wine glass for the first 50 people to purchase tickets in advance.

AARF is a local all volunteer 501(c)3 organization, founded in 2007. Our mission is to work alongside individuals, local rescue groups, animal shelters and other organizations to help preserve and care for all animals. We provide pet food to local food banks and help low income individuals with vet costs. Our Angel Fund is designed to help those in our community that are faced with the stress of having large or unexpected bills or to just help with the basics.

While we continue our work locally, in the last several years AARF began working with rescues in Louisiana and Texas to pull dogs from high kill shelters and find them forever homes in the Pacific Northwest. Since 80% of the dogs in these rural shelters are euthanized, we have put in place a very low cost spay/neuter program targeting people that surrender dogs and puppies to the shelter as well as anyone else that needs help with this. Ninety-six cents out of every dollar we raise goes directly to the animals.
